Full Scene 1 Pass 2

Worked a lot over Thanksgiving Break and now have the transitions in place for scene 1. The lines in the middle part of this scene proved to be as tedious as anticipated but they are complete now! I also have continued work on researching the ocean mechanics in my third scene.

Ocean Style Test

I am currently deciding between animating the last part of my capstone in 3D, 2D, or a combination. Here is my test of a 2D version and a 3D version.

Ocean Testing

Time to move to C4D! I started running tests on how I want the final third of my animation to look. Currently I am testing different noise types to see what feels best. Ultimately I am going for a 2D look but I also need to account for possibly having to hand draw the larger […]

Full Scene 1

I am finished with the first pass of 1/3 of my whole animation! The first half of the 2D section has a second pass complete as well with the addition of transitions and notes from Scott. I still need to add in the transition of the boots and leaves, but I decided to wait for […]

Stop Motion Set

The stop motion set is 90% complete! Utilizing brown packing paper, cardboard, tape, assorted rocks, I have a set design that I think works really well. I have a few weeks until I will begin animating this section, so I have time to run tests to stretch the limits of the set.

Scene 1 Pass 1

Just finished the first pass on a quarter of my film! My animation has changed a lot in the past few weeks and I really like the direction it is headed. I decided to embrace the abstract animation style and it is proving to create some cool transitions. After discovering that my timing was off, […]

Production Schedule

Here is my official production schedule for Creating: An Adventure! I love planning and organizing data. This process has shown me that my passion leans more towards the production side of the animation pipeline. Now that the schedule is set, it is time to get to work!

Videomatic

Finished up my videomatic – since there are no characters in my piece, I focused on trying to replicate the scenery. This was a little difficult at times since I am restricted by my location, but I managed to find good reference online, on campus, and at Matthiessen State Park. p.s. If you are going […]

Simplifying Styles

After going to an AJR concert, I decided to change the style of the first part of animation. I love what AJR does with their performance and the wide variety of styles they use. I am not one to take videos at concerts, but I did the other night just to take notes for capstone! […]
