And like that, the semester is over.
This semester has been a whirlwind and I am pleased to announce that I now have a first draft animatic ready to share!
Finding creativity at the end of the semester was hard. In the words of Bob Ross, “Imagination is like any other muscle in your body. The more you practice, the better you become.” However, like every other muscle in your body, you have to rest. I was certainly feeling my imagination and creativity begging for a break after these long few months. But the little victories pushed me through.
There was one day in particular where all technology was fighting me. But I kept trying new things and eventually made it out of the “rut” – I am realizing how accurate my capstone story is becoming haha
But the moment when I first read the script I received from my writer, the moment I put all of the sounds together, and the night where I watched my finished animatic all brought a smile to my face.
Those moments of joy are what push you through to the next.
I am realizing the depth of how large this film will be. There is a lot of work ahead of me, but I just have to remember that “every time I topple over I can get right back up.” 🙂
